Celina Insurance Group and Employees Scholarship Open to Applicants

CELINA, Ohio, Feb. 14, 2024 — Celina Insurance Group and its employees are pleased to announce that their 2024 scholarship fund is open for applications. Through the fund, three 2024 high school graduates planning to attend a four-year college or university will each receive a $2,500 scholarship.

To be eligible for a Celina Insurance Group and Employees Scholarship, students must either reside in Mercer or Auglaize County, graduate from a high school in Mercer or Auglaize County, or be a child or grandchild of a current Celina Insurance Group employee (no county constraint).

Top applicants will be announced in May 2024 based on a written essay. In the spring of 2025, each scholarship recipient will be eligible for the Don Montgomery Memorial Renewal Scholarship of $1,500 if they meet the requirements.

An additional $1,000 scholarship is available from the Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) if the scholarship recipient enrolls in six or more credit hours during each semester at Wright State University – Lake Campus. The WOEF will also add $500 to the Don Montgomery Memorial Renewal Scholarship if the recipient qualifies.

The Mercer County Civic Foundation administers the fund. Those interested in applying can download applications from mercercountycivicfdn.org/scholarships. The submission deadline is March 1, and late entries will not be accepted. Applicants can mail entries to the Mercer County Civic Foundation at 119 W. Fulton St., P.O. Box 439, Celina, or email them to scholarship@celinainsurance.com.
