CELINA, Ohio, May 25, 2022 — Celina Insurance Group recently presented three $2,000 scholarships to local 2022 high school graduating seniors. The recipients were: Alexander Frimel, Minster High School; Lauren Mestemaker, St. Henry High School; and Kevin Partington, Marion Local High School. The graduating seniors received their scholarship certificates during a reception at Celina Insurance Group on May 17.

Frimel will be attending Ohio Northern University to pursue his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. His parents are Steve and Krista Frimel.

Mestemaker plans to earn an accounting degree from Wright State University. Her parents are Jerry and Charlene Mestemaker.

Partington intends to major in mechanical engineering at Purdue University Fort Wayne. His parents are Doug and Tara Partington.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to support these talented scholars as they embark on their bright futures,” said Bill Montgomery, President and CEO of Celina Insurance Group. “I encourage all young adults to explore the many options available in Mercer and Auglaize counties as they plan for their careers and enter the workforce.”

Celina Insurance Group and its employees established the scholarship for graduating seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university. Area students were eligible to apply for the scholarship, as were children and grandchildren of current Celina employees. The top three applicants won based on an essay about the role of property and casualty insurance in society.
