CELINA, Ohio, May 24, 2023 — Celina Insurance Group recently presented three $2,000 scholarships to local 2023 high school graduating seniors. The recipients were: Jenna Leugers, Coldwater High School; Ray Purdy, Minster High School; and Kennedy Voskuhl, Coldwater High School. The graduating seniors received their scholarship certificates during a reception at Celina Insurance Group on May 23.

Leugers will be attending the University of Findlay and plans to major in exercise science for health professions. Her parents are Dennis and Jill Leugers.

Purdy will pursue a chemical engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati. His parents are Jay and Christine Purdy.

Voskuhl intends to major in civil engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Her parents are Mitchell and Debra Voskuhl.

“One of the highlights of our year here at Celina Insurance Group is the scholarship dinner. It’s a pleasure to meet and speak with these talented students, and it’s rewarding to be able to support their educational goals,” Bill Montgomery, President and CEO of Celina Insurance Group, said. “I can confidently say that the future is bright, especially here in Mercer and Auglaize counties.”

Celina Insurance Group and its employees established the scholarship program for graduating seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university. Area students were eligible to apply for a scholarship, as were children and grandchildren of current Celina employees. The top three applicants won based on an essay about the role of property and casualty insurance in society.
