CELINA, Ohio, May 28, 2024 — Celina Insurance Group recently presented three $2,500 scholarships to local 2024 high school graduating seniors. The recipients were: Max Baumstark, Celina High School; Brandt Homan, Marion Local High School; and Braxton Howell, Coldwater High School. The graduating seniors received their scholarship certificates during a reception at Celina Insurance Group on May 21.
Baumstark plans to attend Miami University, where he’ll pursue a major in data science and analytics. His parents are Donald and Sara Baumstark.
Homan will attend Miami University and major in electrical engineering. His parents are Bart and Karen Homan.
Howell intends to major in biology at Indiana University. His parents are Rob and Lisa Howell.
“Entering the world of higher education can be as daunting as it is exciting, and that’s why we place an emphasis on helping local students pursue their educational goals,” Bill Montgomery, President and CEO of Celina Insurance Group, said.
Celina Insurance Group and its employees established the scholarship program for graduating seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or university. Area students were eligible to apply for a scholarship, as were children and grandchildren of current Celina employees. The top three applicants won based on an essay about the role of property and casualty insurance in society.
