Actuarial Manager

Celina Insurance Group is seeking an ACAS or near ACAS with a strong property and casualty insurance background. This position is responsible for managing and enhancing our corporate ratemaking and reserving analyses.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in predictive analytics and be motivated to stay abreast of current trends in optimizing the use of data.

This role will:

  1. Manage completion of actuarial analyses for rate filings, and report on corporate profitability.
  2. Manage the completion of the corporate reserving process and recommend adequate reserve levels.
  3. Manage the development of enhancements to ratemaking and reserving approaches.
  4. Communicate findings to product management, profit center directors, and senior management.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, business or related area with a minimum 7 years of experience.
  2. Successful completion of actuarial exams pursuing an associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society with ongoing progress toward fellowship.
  3. Strong computer skills (including Excel, Word).
  4. Solid working knowledge of predictive analytics.
  5. Thorough knowledge of actuarial ratemaking and reserving.
  6. Highly advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills.

Farm Underwriting Trainee

Celina Insurance Group is seeking a Farm Underwriting Trainee to join our team of property and casualty professionals in Celina, OH. The preferred candidate will have a four year degree or equivalent industry experience, possess a high level of self-motivation, and strong social skills. A farm background with experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is a plus and the position includes moderate travel.

Our farm underwriting training will include:

  1. Learning the basics of the insurance operations
  2. The opportunity to interact with all levels of our organization
  3. Training on risk assessment, selection and pricing
  4. Conduct agency visitations
